Spring in New York doesn't always cooperate — and this session was proof. Overcast skies, a chill still hanging in the Brooklyn air, and Lindsay and Josh couldn't have cared less. From the second they arrived these two were just easy — easy with each other, easy in front of the camera, and so fun to be around.

We wandered the cobblestone streets, got the iconic Manhattan Bridge shot, and let the moody spring light do what it does best — soft, even, no harsh shadows, just the two of them and the Brooklyn skyline. Afterwards we wrapped with a quick outfit change and a bottle pop that was a highlight of the afternoon. Lindsay and Josh came to have a good time and it showed in every frame.

DUMBO is one of my favorite places to shoot engagement sessions in New York City — the cobblestones, the bridge, the skyline, the light even on a grey day. There is truly nothing like it.
