Emily was nine months pregnant and came to Congress Park solo for our shoot. From the second we met, I knew this was going to be a good one. We're both creatives, so we immediately just got each other. She didn't need direction. We talked the entire time — her work, my work, the baby, the names she and her husband were still going back and forth on. The kind of conversation that makes you forget you are even working.
There is something so quietly beautiful about a woman who carves out this kind of time for herself right before everything changes. Emily was calm, radiant, and completely at ease, and the light that afternoon was nothing short of extraordinary.
